Close the doors, put out the light
You know they won't be home tonight.

30th-May-2008 08:53 pm - I'd like to introduce you to my new little friend.
jerkbitch
His name is Mr. Stark )

So... explanation? I've been meaning to buy an action figure of some sort to practice drawing different poses. Why an action figure and not one of those wooden dolls that are made for the purpose? 1) He was cheaper, and 2) Omg he's so much more fun. ;) Plus, he has a gun, which is fantastic for shooting my brother. In the dark. BECAUSE IT GLOWS. Oh yes. <3

In other news, I'm thinking about selling some of my stuff on ebay. I have a rather small collection of Breyers that I'd like to make even smaller, if it means I can trade some of the horses for cash money. Some I'm kinda attached to, but others not so much. :) We used to go to Breyerfest because it was just down the road, and we'd show them, and prance around, and have awesome times. <3

I've been looking on ebay all night trying to figure out which ones I have that are even worth any money, and it turns out the one I kept in the box? Worth $40. GO ME. *takes a bow* I wish I had the guts to sell my porcelain one, but... I love him too much/shipping would be ridiculous. Heh. O.o;

Anyways, I have a huuuuge collection of the smallest sized ones, because I used to paint them on occasion. With chalk pastels. It was intense. So, it turns out the smallest sized ones are worth maybe $3 a piece, and so I'm wondering if I shouldn't paint them all to sell. Of course, I'm rather amateurish at painting them, so I thought I might offer to do what I did for [info]randomfangirl29, and paint them to look like an actual horse. I may have to take pictures of the one I did for her, because he was adorable, and also a paint, so... he was a little more complicated than the one I did of Cigar. But the one I did of Cigar actually placed in a show, so... that was pretty awesome (I asked the judge what to do to make him better, and she told me to drill out his ears. Yeah. Not happening. O.o;)

So y'all can see what I'm talking about )

I guess what I'm asking is, what do y'all think I should charge if I do custom ones for people of their horses? And where should I advertise? I haven't got a clue. Though I was thinking something around $20 + shipping for the custom horses. Maybe $17? I dunno... They're a lot of work, but my craftsmanship isn't the greatest. I really need to find a way to upload a better picture... heh. ^_^;;
13th-May-2008 09:26 am - I don't think my crazy is contagious, but I'm probably wrong.
crack
Hi, guys! I'm posting from work! *waves*

Today I'm scanning like a billionty contracts, so I'm stuck sitting here. May as well make the most of my time, eh? :D I'm getting paid for this crap. *shakes head*

Anyway, I have a few dilemmas. )

Lately I've been reading about the Asylum con, and pretending to work, but I've also been having deep thoughts about "Time is On My Side". Oh, yes. Very much, indeed. So much so, that I've come up with my greatest crack theory to date. *fistpump*

My theory is based purely on speculation, as I know absolutely zilch about the last episode. I just want to know if anyone else thinks this is even vaguely plausible. Or something. Perhaps I just want to write this down before the episode airs so I can come back and have something to laugh at. Because I get the feeling that after this episode, we will have nothing to be joyous about EVER AGAIN.

So without further ado... )

Oh, yeah. I'm sane.
31st-Mar-2008 09:25 pm - FOR THE EPIC WIN!
ROCK!
So here I am, minding my own business, and reading/watching anything from the con that I can get my hands on. Kripke is seriously the most fantastic man on the face of the planet, y'all. For serious.

So yeah. I'm chatting with [info]randomfangirl29, and also sharing videos and the like with Dayna and Megan and we were fangirling and talking about how just unspeakably likable the guys were, and having a jolly good time. Seriously, that bodyswap video? Best youtube thing ever. (Also that farting panda youtube commercial came on whilst we were chatting this afternoon. I lol'd.)

Anyways, minding my own business, talking, ogling, when ALL OF A SUDDEN. I get an IM from Elizabeth and she's all "Errr... I think they played your video" And I, of course, promptly hide underneath my blankets and shout NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! like a pansy Darth Vaderish type deal, and my roommates are all "OMG SARA IS DYING YO" and I am cowering, and then I'm all like, wait. I demand linkage and proof. Because this wouldn't be the first time Elizabeth just screwed with me. Or maybe it would be. But whatever.

"...Speaking of fan involvement, the convention also showcased several homemade music video salutes to the show. Clip montages were backed by songs like Tenacious D's "Tribute" (sung by the person who made the video)..."

HOLY BLESSED CRAP ON A POPSICLE STICK.

So yeah. I feel really ashamed that more people were subjected to my video, and wondering why oh why I didn't have someone else sing and whether I should just re-record the whole thing with my ukulele because Eugene = win (I'm learning "Never Gonna Give You Up" right now... FTW), and seriously. I'm going to die of shame.

The only possible good thing that could come from this would be Kripke seeing it and realizing my deep and unfulfilled need to have an episode take place in Kentucky. I get all squee-ish when fanfiction takes them here. I am clearly insane, and the only cure is Winchesters + Kentucky. That is all.

So... that's the end of me freaking out. For serious. If you're interested in watching my Magnum Opus (which was made in iMovie and has the terrible singing of both me and Sabrina (that jerk, she only did backup vocals... THAT JERK. D:) and is terrible in just about every way imaginable), then click here. Can't say I didn't warn you. It is kind of epic, though. I mean, Tenacious D. <3

I was going to say all sorts of other insightful things when I did eventually post today, but... this has totally ruined my sanity. Because I am a self-centered narcissist who loves Supernatural. :)
