Alright! 15 minute Journalism final for the epic win! :) There were only 3-4 questions I was even uncertain about, so... Here's hoping I can squeak an A out in that class. It really depends on what I get on my paper. Which he's not giving back to us. e.x;

But I'm done! And thus making a substantive post for the first time in a long time. :) Arts and music lie ahead! :D

Summer Soundtrack/Facial expressions/Icon Meme )

---

So a while ago I did something like an icon meme where I had to say something about a few of my icons. So I'm doing that now. I don't have time to tag anyone, but feel free to pontificate about your favorite icons in the comments/your own journal.

It is my firm belief that everyone should have a "Damn you, Kripke" icon. It is my other firm belief that everyone will have one by the end of this season. :) The man just knows how to make me love him and curse his name for the buckets and buckets of angst he pours out in his show. I picked this one because Bobby's on it, and who doesn't love Bobby? Psychopaths. That's who.

I love Meg, and have a bad habit of being sarcastic and doing bad things. *cough* I love the placement of the text on this one, too. :) These are the kinds of things that make me realize I'll never be a great icon-maker. I don't think of doing simple things enough. Ah, well. In closing, Meg = <3.

Dream a Little Dream of Me might just be my favorite episode of this season so far. And I love the composition and overall eeriness of the ending of that episode. What can I say? Demon!Dean just does it for me. :P Kripke, you horribly magnificent teasing bastard, if Dean is not at least part demon by the beginning of next season, I will feel severely let down, and probably cry.

Whoo! One of my crappy icons from the Ghostfacers site. The only one on this list that I've actually made, and it fills my heart with ridiculous glee. Sam's beard and Dean's glasses are hilarious and epic win.

Tonight is Supernatural! :D Hopefully I'll have deep thinky-thoughts about the episode, but finals have probably ensured that I won't. Oh, well. PIE! <333 Last time, we found these tiny pie crusts at the store, and made cup-pies like in Pushing Daisies. Because we are the biggest/most awesome nerds you ever could meet. Last time we had blackberry, and this time we're making peach. :) They're adorable. Since this is the last Pie-day, I'll probably try to take pictures. I won't, but I'll probably try.

*goes back to packing up the rest of her stuff to move out*
28th-Apr-2008 08:26 pm - Just a quick question for y'all:
buffy workin
My roommate wants to know if you guys have any idea of a website she could go to to download a book. Minus the paying for it. I told her I'd at least ask, cause I've got no clue.

In other news, thanks so much for being my cheerleaders on my spazzy posts, guys. :) I really feel like I can do this the more the night wears on. I'm on day two of excessive studying, and tomorrow at 10AM this nightmare ends and I can get some sleep. But until then, I suffer in a nightmare full of the Renaissance and Holy Roman Empire.

Btw, if anyone here could point me in the direction of information about either 1) The Battle of Bouvines or 2) Ways in which how men and women were expected to dress/act changed during the Renaissance, I'd be eternally grateful. But you totally don't have to. I'm just drawing a huge blank on #2, and lost my notes for #1 which is the MOST FRUSTRATING THING IN THE WORLD.

*goes back to attempting to study whilst knowing her f-list is riddled with pictures of Jared and someone who may or may not be Jensen but he's shirtless and that's good enough for me*
28th-Apr-2008 10:21 am - 10:30 is my first final.
ruby smugly superior
I can do this.

I CAN FREAKING DO THIS DON'T YOU PANSY OUT ON ME NOW, BRAIN.
27th-Apr-2008 11:08 pm - Holy crap, my head hurts.

I studied! \o/

Political Science and Statistics tomorrow, and History @ 8AM on Tuesday. Once those are all over, I'm basically done. Journalism doesn't worry me in the slightest. History is kinda terrifying, but the last one I crammed in 4 hours for, and got an A (College: giving me bad habits since 2007). This one's only a little longer, but I'm more familiar with the subject material (thank you, endless Calvinist debates in high school = words I never thought I'd say). I've got it planned out so that I go to bed early and wake up at 5AM so I'm already awake for the test. This, of course, means I'll be completely breaking my iCiNG plans, but eh.

That's not going so well, by the way. e.x; I knew if I tried to change something during finals, it'd end badly. So I'm really going to start back trying on Thursday. I'm going to add "Get on a regular sleeping schedule" to it, as well. I have been doing a few push-ups every night, though. :) I'm going to have Batman muscles. XD

Oh, man. I'm not finished; I still have to read a few more chapters of the Hunter S. Thompson book, and one more section of "Crashing the Gate", but those books are actually entertaining/engrossing to me. I really want to sit down and read through the Thompson one sometime... I don't think I'm going to sell back any of the books I got for that class. :) Too bad a major in political science doesn't do anything for you, cause that's totally where I'd be if it did. That class is the most interesting thing in the whole world to me. I r a geek. *cough*

I can't wait for Thursday. Too much awesome involved for me to not want it to be here. It's only slightly depressing that it's the last time I'll see my roommate, probably ever. We've become pretty great friends, and she's a huge nerd (and for those of you who weren't paying attention to my incoherent rambling last night, a huge Jensen-loving nerd), and I'm just really going to miss her. She's going to Italy for a whole year, then she's probably going to transfer to a different school. So that's depressing as hell.

Fortunately, my epic sadness will be countered by pie, Supernatural, and the beginning of my summer. <3
26th-Apr-2008 03:25 pm - Hulu is fast becoming the bane of my existence.
nomorecrap
So, apparently, my mind's way of dealing with the stress of not having really studied for finals is to watch Arrested Development and read SPN crack-fic. *headdesk*

I really hate finals. And these are even worse, because two of them are on Monday, and I have to pull at least one of my B's up to an A for my scholarship. Seriously, college. Could you suck any harder?

At least this time on Thursday I'll be free. Of course, there won't be anything to do, because our Xbox 360 is brick'd. *headdesk x bajillionty* I was going to go out and buy Mass Effect, too. And finish the Oblivion expansion pack. AND OH YEAH HYSTERIA WAS JUST ABOUT TO COME OUT ON ROCK BAND. *pouts*

Ugh. I should study for Statistics re: that A I need, but... all I keep thinking is "How hard could it be? PUH!" So that's not going to end well.

Also, I have no willpower, and I watched those preview clips for the next episode of SPN. <33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 That is all. Except I kind of hate [info]randomfangirl29 for being my enabler.

*goes back to drawing pictures of Ed and Corbett with little hearts around them*
24th-Apr-2008 11:52 pm - Ghost! Ghostfacers!
Kripke is truly evil
Tonight, your review will come in the form of a numbered list. Because I'm lazy. )

So that's my squeeage. The static thing was awful. D: It made the jerky scenes entirely unwatchable. I need to watch it again in a more relaxed state to properly enjoy it, so if anyone knows where I can find it online, let me know. Thanks!

Right now, it's Lion King + Buffalo Wild Wings time. Because apparently, I'm retarded and not going to class tomorrow, the last day. Why would I want a study guide for finals? I LAUGH IN THE FACE OF DANGER.
22nd-Apr-2008 11:48 pm - Maybe this class isn't so bad...
dresden dolls whoo
Okay, so my art class is the worst art class I've ever had. That doesn't mean I wasn't able to get some serious practice in whilst putting up with the nonsense. It was also much more structured than my Independent Study class in high school. So that's nice. I just hope next semester's 3D class is ok... ah well.

Anyway, my sketchbook is in my room as I'm supposed to be working on a self-portrait for Thursday, so I took some crappy webcam pics to share with the world!

So here's the fruits of the past month (we've finally started drawing things other than lines *repeated headdesk*), which I'm sort of proud of. :)

Feet & Trees )

This concludes our nerdery for this evening. Thank you, and Good Night.
20th-Apr-2008 09:38 pm - Yes, I am wasting time rather than finish my three page paper. Why do you ask?
sogoodtobebad
Y hallo thar, scarily accurate personality test. O.O )

So... yeah. That's terrifyingly accurate. And sadly, my inability to start conversations with other people is transferring itself to the internet as well as in class. Maybe someday I'll be comfortable talking to other people. Until then, I will pine and draw things...? :D *is an incredible nerd, what you didn't notice?*

Me and the roommate have been sitting inside, in our beds, on our laptops all day. All day. Just wanted to let the world know what slackers we were. She's been trying to catch up on BSG, and I've been trying to get motivated to write my career paper, but really reading a ridiculous amount of fanfiction. :)

I want to change my name. It's too popular and everyone who knows me knows about six other people with my name. So. My name. What should I change it to? :D The more random, the more I'll probably love you. I'm totally changing my middle name to Danger, though. Just so you know.
20th-Apr-2008 03:40 pm - The pie is nigh!
regina wink
I've been having conversations with Dayna all day about what kind of pie we're going to make, and how much extra sugar we're going to "accidentally" put in the crust and how much whipped cream and ice cream we're going to need and hoo-boy this pie-day will be EPIC. Thank you, Supernatural, for coming back before everyone goes back home from college so that we can have one more pie-day. <3

I think we're having blackberry. It's gonna be awesome. And studying for finals be damned. :D

*cough*

So starting Monday, I'm going to be taking part in the iCiNG Transformation Challenge because 1) I can and 2) I want to. So you may hear me whine and moan about how much stuff I'm not changing about my life over the next month. XD; Just so y'all know. (Also, Gala's blog is fantastic and grand and generally happy-inducing. <3)

Here are my goals:
1) Work-out in some capacity every day (I'm going to at least be doing a ridiculous number of pushups just so I can get into some kind of respectable muscley shape for Batman. Err! :D)
2) No cokes. At all. Whatsoever. It's doable, but during finals week, I may have to turn to coffee to keep myself awake which frightens me. O.O;
3) Do something productive/creative every day (Draw, write, learn some ukulele, write a paper, study, etc)(You'd be amazed how unproductive my days generally are *headdesk*)
4) Get outside at least once every day. Maybe for a walk or something. It's just so nice out! :D

So those are my goals. I'm going to break every single one of them by the end of the week, but I'm going to angst over it for the rest of the month, so it'll be alright. :)

I'm actually supposed to be writing my career paper right now, but everyone knows that won't even get started til around 11:00PM. No matter how much I tell myself that I'm starting at 5:00PM. I really am. Seriously, now.
