I have a lot of people on my flist that haven't posted in like 2-3 years. I assume they left LJ, so I am going to go ahead and do some trimming.
I'm mainly aiming this at abandoned journals and people that post maybe once a year. Plus there are some people that I never talk to and never talk to me, so I figure we've drifted or just never clicked.
This really isn't aimed at anyone new since I don't know you yet, or people I talk to on a regular basis.
There is always room for misunderstanding though, so if I cut you and you didn't want to get cut, just let me know and I'll add you back. Or just post here if you want me to keep you. Even post here if you are looking to be cut. Maybe I bore you ;)

So, originally I was going to sit down to watch the Farscape series finale that I've been putting off. or continue to watch the handful of Smallville eps I've missed over the years. Instead, I decided to start Dark Angel. My thoughts... ( Pilot )( Heat )( Flushed )I probably could say more and I know I'm missing stuff, but so far I've really enjoying it. I'm aware that the tone and content changes completly in S2, and that's a bummer. But I am looking forward to watching S2 for Jensen Ackles. I'm just pleased that at least so far the story isn't all about ship (and I'm a romantic at heart - just prefer good story) and that it has an intriguing premise. I hope the next episodes are pretty good as well. :) | |

I'm getting a quasi-summer vacation! It all started with Commencement. My friends L and S came and stayed with me and we had a great time. Then the following weekend, I went to my friend M's house for a BBQ, and my friend T came over the next day for a BBQ. Last night, my friend T and I went out for dinner and a movie and watched fireworks, tonight my friend C is coming over for dinner, and tomorrow my friend S (the same S) is coming down with my godson S for a couple of days from Tacoma (where they are visiting relatives). We're going to drive out to Hood River Valley on Monday and do the farm tour, grab lunch or dinner in Hood River, then head back. Alpacas! And produce! And artisan cheese! And wine! I have a social life again! I almost forgotten what that was like after being buried in coursework and work for months on end... Next weekend, I'm off to MA to find an apartment, the following weekend, my friend khylarenelf, is coming down from the Seattle area to stay the weekend, then the weekend after that it's free Shakespeare in the park with my friends N and C from school, then I'm moving. EEK! It's all happening so fast! I'm going to party it up until I move... because then it's back to the grind. | |

Anyone reading this who visits SVS, listen up. While it's working again at the moment, our server is a piece of absolute shit. It has been since day one, but recently it's been getting worse. It's been slow, the connection has completely failed at times and it's just been an all-round, unreliable piece of crap. I hear from my Webtech that the support team are complete fucktards most of the time. Just spoke with Webtech on the phone and he's on the lookout for a new server. Honestly, I don't care how much it costs as long as we get us a decent one that's gonna do the job and do it consistently well. He tells me that he would have to re-apply for this one around the 16th of the month so he's going to try and find a new one by then so we can get switched over around then - which is the best time to do it anyway since by then all of the end-of-month, beginning-of-month stuff is out there and dealt with. I'll keep you guys posted on any further developments but as for now, a switch IS on its way. Bear with us ;) Also, I have a question for you guys - would any of y'all be interested in a comm for the site? I've claimed the name - spnvidstation - just on the off-chance that someone else nabs it for whatever reason, but haven't done anything to it yet. It would mainly be for announcements such as this one, as I know that not everyone at the site who has an LJ is on my flist, and vice versa. We could also have help posts, tutorials etc. The only thing we wouldn't post there would be the video posts themselves - those would be exclusive to the website. What do you guys think? | |
