Well, dear flist, I leave in 6 hours for California for the next week or so. I'll be on a red-eye back home on July 15th, so expect a post telling you I'm alive once I've caught back up on my sleep. Then I'll be entering a sleepbet rematch with stickymint. And posting my penance for the last one. I'm a very busy girl.

I desperately need a break from the internet, and I'm thinking a forced exile will do me some good. Plus, I'll be at Disneyland Monday. You really can't ask for much more than that.

For those of you who follow me on twitter, callie_828 made me a scavenger hunt to save me from going insane while exclusively in the company of my family for the next week. I'll be twipiccing the results of that, so there may be a trickle of random, bizarre crap. There's also potentially a minor surprise for mishaland. Because I am nothing if not a complete and total whore for my friends and favorite comm.

Anyways, I'm probably going to be totally out of the loop. If something happens you want me to see, post it here. There's no way I'm catching up with my flist when I get back. XD

I've been scrambling for things to make LJ posts about recently because there's not much going on in my life, so I let wildcardbitches interview me because she was offering. :D

1. Which Supernatural character do you identify the most with and why?
Oh fffffffff, now you're going to make me think about Show on a level deeper than "EEE GOOD TIMES AND PRETTY PEOPLE". I suppose I've always identified more with Dean. I'm incredibly sarcastic and entertaining on the outside, and full of angst and manpain on the inside. Though my manpain is more girlypain, and it's nowhere near as epic as his. And I have a little brother who is taller than me and has terrible taste in music. And I drive a Chevy. And I want to jump Castiel.

2. If you had a theme song, what would it be?
DON'T STOP BELIEVING! HOLD ON TO THAT FEE~EEEELIING!!! \o/

But if I was being "serious", then I'd probably pick The Perfect Fit, a song about being booksmart, but choosing to spend your life in an artistic fashion rather than use your knowhow for the betterment of mankind, and the guilt that brings. Good times.

5. What was your first fandom & why/how did you get into it?
That depends on what your definition of "fandom" is. I used to be incredibly into Lord of the Rings when the movies started coming out; I've probably seen each one at least 15 times (it makes me sad how very much that isn't an overstatement), but I never read fanfic/really did fanart. And I certainly wasn't involved in online fandom. The first fandom I ever really drew for/read fanfic for extensively was Knights of the Old Republic, a Star Wars RPG. My brother originally bought the game and was going to take it back to the store the next day because for whatever reason, he wasn't interested in playing an RPG and failed to realize what the game was when he bought it. So I gave it a whirl and then forbid him from returning it. And then I found a fansite via a random google search, a couple cracked-out fangirls, and the rest is history. Damn, I miss the IRC chats we used to have. They taught me to do victory arms! \o/ OH SUCH FUN TIMES WE ALL HAD.

I suppose if anyone else has anymore random questions, I'm prepared to take a swing at them. This was a welcome respite from my recently unending art-related activities.

I started making a manip of Leecifer for no reason other than he's awesome, and I would like to see that on my TV someday. Blame breakinporcelan for starting this madness. I just jump on the gravy trains.

I've decided to use my powers not for good, but at least for neutral.

I've made jewelry for years with my mother. I'm fairly good at it, to the point where I've decided to sell some of it on Etsy in the hopes to raise some money to use for my upcoming adventures the remainder of this year.

I'm going to start off making some steampunk necklaces, and maybe a few Supernatural-inspired charm bracelets. I'm just putting this out there to gauge interest on my flist. I can make you something specific if you'd like, all I need is a price-range. I can hit just about anything because I have ~*mad skills*~. Did I really just type that? Wow.



This is the aforementioned charm bracelet. I made this one for randomfangirl29 because ilher, and I'd been promising her a necklace for quite some time and never got around to finishing it. I have a lot more of this chain, and a lot of random charms to make more of these. They'll probably cost $17 apiece because the charms aren't very cheap.

So I've been ignoring E3 for the most part today; just figured there was nothing coming down the pipeline was interested in.

OH HOW VERY WRONG I WAS.

Rock Band: Beatles Trailer. Oh. My. GOD. 3 PART VOCAL HARMONIES. WHY DON'T I HAVE FRIENDS WHO KNOW BEATLES SONGS?? GAH! THE SONG CATALOGUE ALONE! BEATLES! EEEEE! :D They better sell this game separately from the package deal, because as much as I love the new guitars, there's no way I'm paying $200 for pointless duplicates.

Then, the love of my life, Bioware, released a trailer for SWTOR. And Star Wars fanboys and girls alike collectively shit themselves.

I'm so averse to MMOs, but I'm going to do everything in my power to play this one. KotOR was my life. This game is going to be so epic. If there's a solid storyline, and no endless grinding/farming/MMO bullshit, I'm there.

Also, yes. I did download this so I could watch it every five minutes. Do not judge me. I like excessive lightsabers and awesomely epic female bounty hunters (!!!). (Someone get me off the SWTOR website; I'm staring endlessly at classes and concept art, and it is not healthy)

In other news, I'm pissed; I missed the beginning of Conan's first night because my brother is an idiot. e.e Hopefully it'll be up on Hulu in the morning. *sigh*

I just got back from seeing Star Trek (YES, FINALLY). I may be developing a bit of a thing for Zachary Quinto's voice, but I am MOST CERTAINLY developing a thing for underaged Russians.

Also, I'm busy trying to compile a steampunk costume for purposes of frolicking in Chicago come November. I'm looking at buying a corset, and maybe a frilly shirt because none of mine are quite ruffly enough. I'm looking through a whole bunch of cheap internet sites; I may put together a post later with my findings. I haven't yet decided.

I'm definitely going to buy a corset from here if I come into any unexpected money. I just can't decide which one. Thoughts? I'm kind of enamored with this one, but I just can't decide for sure.

I've got applications into a bunch of places right now. I keep looking, but I'm seriously worried I'm not going to find anything. High school lets out next week, and that's not going to make this any easier. I'll definitely be able to find a job on campus once school lets back in, but I'd really like to have one this summer. I just don't know.
